The cave diver is permitted to enter bodies of water containing overhangs, silt, darkness zones, and passages that are at all times large enough for two divers to swim adjacent to each other and turn around together. 1/3 of gas supply is the maximum penetration permitted into a cave.
The course is designed to give divers an introduction into overhead environments and where 2 divers can swim side by side. There are various dive sites available to diver with this certification.
